Hi I’m Paramita, a BIPOC founder & owner of Ukiyo Candle Co., where the gentle flicker of a candle transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary. Our story is one of passion, purity and a heartfelt commitment to the environment.

What sparked this venture?

A revelation that many big brands embrace paraffin and other toxic ingredients in their candles, made me realize the need to find an alternative. I was driven by a deep sense of purpose and a desire to bring light into homes in more ways than one, thus Ukiyo Candle Co. was born where each luxe candle resonates with a vision for a cleaner, greener, and cozier world, drawing inspiration from Indian Ayurveda.

We hand-pour our candles with 100% natural soy wax, carefully selected for its clean-burning nature and minimal environmental impact. Our candles are free from harmful toxins and made with paraben and phthalate free premium fragrance oils, ensuring that you can breathe easy and bask in the gentle warmth they exude. Our wood wicks are from FSC certified wood while cotton wicks are lead free, hence no nasty black soot.
